Voice of London: The Ick Revealed!

Voice of London: The Ick Revealed!

I had the absolute pleasure in being invited by Tania Alasady, a journalist for the ‘Voice of London’ at Westminster University, to share my expertise on the popular dating and relationship trend known as “the ick.”

In this interview, I reveal all you need to know about “The Ick”:

🌷 What exactly it is

🌟 Why we get it

🌷 Whether it is a normal feeling to experience

🌟 If it is possible to come back from it

🌷 How we should cope with it

Did you know?

It’s easy to regularly focus on the negatives of a person and a situation. The reason for this is that negative events have a greater impact on our brains than positive ones. It’s an automatic mechanism of our survival brain that gives more importance to negative experiences than positive and/or neutral ones.

Psychologists refer to this as the negative bias (also called the negativity bias) and it can have a strong effect on your behaviour, your decisions and can cause a great deal of imbalance in a relationship.
